The Further Adventures of Grace Brewster

Enthused

The comments have been pouring into the blog from the 7th grade class at Janis Dismus. Almost everyone wants to see a sequel. Chirangi rightly recognized that the language might be an issue, and the problem of creating an entirely new and unique story. Yes, my Español isn’t that bueno. Even for fiction. And creating a new intriguing relationship with Grace’s Venezuelan family is something that still stumps me. Chirangi certainly has the instincts of an author. …

Grace is already at the middle school awaiting my arrival on Wednesday. Let’s see if she can scare up some more writing and questions from the class. They’re already sufficiently enthusiastic about the visit, which of course makes me so much more excited to go!

David wants to know what I feel like when I see one of my books in the library. It’s nice, David. And if I just happen upon it without looking, it’s surprising, and then it’s super nice. Kind of like walking through the hallway and happening upon someone you have a crush on. Your eyes go fuzzy and your heart races, but you try to play it really, really cool.

So, I’ll be there soon. And that brings me to a major problem I have when visiting a school. … What am I going to wear?
